COVID Exposure Hits Holy Family School Hard

It’s been a challenging week for staff and students at Holy Family Catholic School.

The Wallaceburg elementary school is dealing with a COVID exposure from a Board-level staff member which has impacted every class in the school, sending most students home to isolate through next week.

The only exceptions are students who were either absent during the exposure dates or are already two weeks past their second COVID vaccine shot.

A note to parents from Principal Mark Bernard says all health and safety protocols, as directed by Public Health, the Ministry of Education, and the St Clair Catholic District School Board, are being followed.

As of Wednesday morning, there are six Chatham-Kent schools within the St Clair Catholic District School Board with at least one confirmed case or classes closed because of COVID-19.
