Two COVID-19 outbreaks at Chatham-Kent’s hospital have now been declared over.
The outbreaks in the Complex Continuing Care Unit and the Medicine B Unit at the Chatham site of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance were ended on Thursday by CK Public Health.
The outbreaks were declared on May 10 and linked to a total of 10 COVID cases within the hospital.
“Infection prevention and control measures will remain in place across the organization and CKHA will continue to review and monitor the impact of the pandemic on its operations,” the hospital said in a statement. “The hospital remains a safe place to receive care.”
The visitor policy at the hospital remains in Phase 3 “green,” which permits most inpatients to have two consistent essential care partners with one present at a time.
