Two more Chatham-Kent schools have been affected by COVID-19.

There’s been a confirmed case in the school community at the new English Catholic elementary school, St Angela Merici in Chatham, however officials with the St Clair Catholic board say the individual hasn’t been at school so no students or staff need to quarantine.

Meantime, the Public Health Unit continues to investigate two probable cases of COVID-19 at Dresden Area Central School. In all, the Lambton Kent District School Board says 102 students and 15 staff members have been dismissed to quarantine. Due to privacy considerations, no more information can be provided.

The public board continues to deal with three confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Tilbury District High School, two at Queen Elizabeth II School in Chatham, and two student cases at Sarnia’s Northern Collegiate.

All schools within both the Lambton Kent and St Clair Catholic District School Board remain open.
