Thousands of pounds of food have been donated to Outreach for Hunger, thanks to the CP Holiday Train.
The festive freight pulled in to Chatham Saturday afternoon to the delight of close to a thousand area residents.
Backed by entertainment from former Great Big Sea frontman Alan Doyle and his Beautiful Band, CP Rail officials passed over a cheque for $4500 to the support the local food bank.
Organizers say close to 6000 pounds of food was collected at the event to help support those in need in Chatham-Kent over the holidays.
