With Thanksgiving behind us, some are already planning ahead to the Christmas season.
Plans are in the works for this year’s CPKC Holiday Train, which is scheduled to pull into Chatham on Monday, November 25th, helping to raise money, food, and awareness to support local food banks.
The festive freight will be stopping behind the Holiday Inn and Suites on Richmond Street between 2:45 and 3:15. This year’s entertainers include KT Tunstall and American Authors.
Since its inaugural journey in 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised more than $24.3 million and collected approximately 5.3 million pounds of food for community food banks in Canada and the U.S.
