After just the first day of kids being back in the classroom, over a dozen drivers have been charged with racing through school zones.
Members of the Traffic Unit were on patrol in various communities around Chatham yesterday, laying 15 speeding charges. Three drivers were also given tickets for parking illegally near school grounds.
Police say officers will continue to monitor community safety zones as kids return to school to ensure everyone’s safety.
