A Chatham woman is facing charges following a collision involving a parked vehicle.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said the driver of the vehicle lost control on Delaware Avenue near Gladstone Avenue in Chatham Thursday night, before hitting the parked vehicle.

Police said the driver was arrested after she appeared to be impaired by alcohol. Breath tests were completed at police headquarters.

As a result, a 35-year-old Chatham woman is charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit, failing to surrender her license and permit, and driving with liquor readily available. She has been released with a future court date.
