Traffic in Chatham is being detoured off St Clair Street after a fire broke out in the basement of a home.
Fire officials say no one was hurt, and credit a working smoke alarm inside the home with warning the family in time to get out in time.
Damage is pegged at $150,000, cause is going down as a faulty dryer.
Motorists are being re-routed off St Clair between Oxley and Gregory Drive.
