
An investigation is ongoing following a morning house fire in Blenheim.
Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue said firefighters from Stations 18, 14, 12 and 1 responded to the blaze within the home at 83 Talbot Street East shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Friday.
All of the occupants in the home were able to get out safely, and no injuries were reported. The residents have been displaced as a result of the fire, and Victim Services has assisted to ensure they have temporary accommodations.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office has been notified and will be attending to investigate the cause of the blaze, which caused around $500,000 in damage.
