Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers are helping local police track down a thief after several weapons were stolen during a break-in in Pain Court.
Spokesman Dave Bakker says thieves smashed open a gun safe in the Pain Court Line home on March 27th, stealing a number of firearms.
“This owner, had done everything right, you have to commend him. His weapons were stored properly in a gun safe, says Bakker. Nothing is impenetrable, if you have sledge hammer you can open just about anything. They had gun trigger locks on them and the ammo wasn’t stored with the weapons. So he did it all right.”
A cross-bow, cash, and various electronics were also stolen.
Anyone with information is urged to call Police or Crime Stoppers.
