A cry for help landed a local man behind bars.
The accused called 9-1-1 on Saturday, saying he was in danger and needed the police to help. Officers arrived and found the man hiding inside a closet.
Authorities say the man, who had taken methamphetamine, was found to be the subject of multiple outstanding warrants.
He was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing. Police say they are still looking into the man’s concerns about his safety.
