It’s the final kick at the can for several local councillors.
Tonight marks the last meeting for the current term.
Several long-standing representatives lost their seats during last month’s municipal election: Mayor Randy Hope, West Kent councillor Bryon Fluker, and South Kent’s Frank Vercouteren.
Several others decided not to run for re-election: Karen Herman, David VanDamme, Leon Leclair, Bob Myers, and Jeff Wesley.
Others are moving on to other positions – including mayor-elect Darrin Canniff, and Derek Robertson, who is now a trustee with the Lambton Kent District School Board.
