A cyclist is fighting for their life following a crash in Chatham.
Emergency crews were called to McFarlane Avenue and Beth Crescent shortly before 9:30 Wednesday morning.
Authorities say a cyclist was heading west on McFarlane when a vehicle, driving south on Melrose Drive, turned onto McFarlane and hit the bike.
According to police, several bystanders tried to free the cyclist from under the vehicle, but actually ended up causing further injuries.
The cyclist was taken to the London Health Sciences Centre with life threatening injuries.
Authorities say out of respect for those involved, no names are being released.
