Migrant workers play a pivotal role in the agricultural industry in Chatham-Kent and around the country.
The pandemic has brought many issues to light and Saturday will mark a day of action, virtually of course.
It’s being organized by Justicia /Justice for Migrant Workers, a group is made up of migrant workers, along with community and Labour activists.
Among the group’s demands: status upon arrival, the right to organize, protection of migrant housing, and better health and safety protection.
