Today marks the deadliest day in the pandemic for Ontario with 89 lives lost across the province.

The government announced a record high 3519 new infections today.

In Chatham-Kent, Public Health says the local number of active cases has risen to 142 with 26 new infections being reported today. There are still four Chatham-Kent residents being treated for the virus in hospital.

Officials have also announced a new workplace outbreak, bringing the total number of outbreaks in the community to 11, seven workplaces, three institutional, and one congregate living setting.

Three more people have died in connection to the virus in Windsor-Essex. That’s along with 199 new cases being reported in the region today.

Lambton County’s active caseload continues to decline with just five new infections compared to 63 recoveries.
