The deadline to order a box lunch to support those with diverse abilities has been extended.
Community Living Wallaceburg’s annual Box Lunch fundraiser will now be accepting orders until April 10 at midnight, a week longer than initially planned.
Anyone in Chatham-Kent can order a lunch for $15, which will be delivered to their door by volunteers on April 16. Lunches are also available for pick-up at the UAW hall in Wallaceburg.
Each lunch consists of a Chicken Caesar or turkey club wrap provided by the Black Goose Grill, or a gluten-friendly summer salad; a bag of plain potato chips; bottle of water; an apple; and a cookie, all be served in a reusable thermal lunch bag.
Community Living hopes to sell 1,500 lunches this year.
Proceeds will be used to support the purchase of a new, fully accessible van, allowing the people CLW serves to attend appointments, become involved in the community, and live their fullest lives.
