The deadline has been extended for applications to a grant supporting children with special needs.
Community Living Chatham-Kent will be presenting two $1500 awards to help children who’ve been diagnosed with autism or other intellectual disabilities.
In memory of Jonathan Daniel Stone, a child who had autism and passed away in 2013, the funds can be used for things like recreational activities, workshops for parents and siblings, advocacy, life skills development, or assistive devices for learning or communication.
The initial deadline was set for December 23, but has been extended to January 31.
