Nominations continue to trickle in for Chatham-Kent’s municipal election.

There are three candidates running for mayor, including incumbent Darrin Canniff, and political newcomers Andy Fisher and William Pickard.

Three people are vying for two seats in West Kent, four candidates running for the three seats in South Kent, five candidates in East Kent, three in North Kent. So far Wallaceburg’s two incumbent councillors Aaron Hall and Carmen McGregor are running uncontested. And in Ward Six, which has six seats on council, there are 11 people on the ballot, five of whom are current councillors.

The deadline to file nomination papers is this coming Friday at 2pm.
