The clock is ticking for Wallaceburg residents who want to have their say on a proposed plan to spruce up the community’s south side.

The draft official plan amendment (draft OPA) for the secondary plan was presented to council back in July and has been open to public feedback.

The deadline for submissions is this Friday, September 1st.

Another public meeting is in the works, although at this point a date has not yet been set.

The plan will then come back to council this fall for potential adoption.

Adoption would introduce the following structures and their associated goals, objectives, policies, and implementation elements:

  • Activity Areas Structure
  • Parkland Network Structure
  • Mobility Network Structure
  • Land Use Policy Structure
  • Intensification Areas Structure

For the next few days, comments on the draft OPA can still be submitted to anthonyj@chatham-kent.ca
