Striking LCBO workers and their employer have reached a tentative agreement, which could see retail outlets reopen as soon as next week.
The liquor store chain and OPSEU, the employees’ union, announced on Friday that a deal had been reached, more than two weeks after around 10,000 employees walked off the job, closing LCBO stores across Ontario.
Pending the outcome of a ratification vote, the strike is slated to end at 12:01 a.m. on Monday. LCBO retail locations would then be open for in-store shopping on Tuesday
Further details on the agreement are expected to be released once it has been ratified.
