
A resident of Chatham’s transitional cabin site has died.
The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has confirmed that an individual living at Pathways on Park passed away on Thursday.
Municipal staff coordinated with emergency services at the scene, and a coroner attended the site but was unable to determine an immediate cause of death. No evidence of foul play was found.
“Out of respect for the individual and their loved ones, no personal information will be released,” the municipality said in a statement.
Support is being provided to others living at the site, staff, and partner agencies impacted by the incident.
CKXS News has reached out to the Chatham-Kent Police Service for comment.
The municipality said further information will be provided “only as appropriate.”
