Rondeau Provincial Park will be closed over the next few days to allow for a thinning of the deer population.
In partnership with Eelūnaapèewii Lahkèewiit (Delaware Nation at Moraviantown First Nation,) officials with the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and Ontario Park will be conducting a deer herd reduction (DHR) this Saturday and Sunday.
The park will be closed to the public for the entirety of these two days, reopening on Monday November 24 at 8:30am.
Officials with the Ministry say public safety is of the utmost importance. Access points will be monitored, and public entry will be prohibited.
