A warning from the OPP about the risk of deer along area roadways.
A car struck a deer on the Eastbound 401 near Orford Rd. last night, causing minor injuries to the driver.
The car was heavily damaged and had to be towed.
The Ministry of Natural Resources show the number of animal strikes on Ontario roads are on the rise, with a 42% increase in recent years.
