An investigation into the inner workings of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has raised some serious concerns.
Ontario’s Minister of Health says he firmly believes the delivery of hospital services in Chatham-Kent is in jeopardy.
In a letter to the chairs of the Sydenham Hospital, Public General, and St Joe’s Health Services boards, Dr Eric Hoskins says it would be in the best interest of patients and those who depend on the hospitals’ services to act quickly before the situation deteriorates any further.
Bonnie Adamson, who led the investigation, has recommended appointing a supervisor to restore governance and administrative and clinical leadership.
The Sydenham Hospital Board will be meeting tonight to discuss the findings.
