Dip in Number of COVID Patients at CKHA

More COVID patients have been released from hospital in Chatham-Kent.

Officials with the Health Alliance say there are now just 13 patients with the virus in care, 5 of whom are being treated primarily for COVID-19.

There is still just one COVID patient receiving critical care in the hospital’s Progressive Care Unit.

Overall, CK Public Health is reporting 53 new cases since the last update on Wednesday, with a seven-day average of 23 new cases a day.

There are four active outbreaks across Chatham-Kent, including the medicine unit at the Health Alliance, Wallaceburg Retirement Residence, Maple City Retirement Residence, and the Meadows of Wheatley.
