Disabled Vehicle Catches The Eye of OPP

A broken down vehicle on the 401 las landed a Sarnia resident with charges.

Provincial Police spotted a disabled vehicle on the westbound shoulder of the highway near Kent Bridge Road and discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen from Sarnia.

While police were on scene, a person emerged from the bush lot, saw the officers, and ran across the highway.

The suspect was taken into custody following a brief foot chase.

The 40-year-old has since been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 and will answer to a judge in court next month.
