Nearly two dozen Western University medical students will wrap up their visit to Chatham-Kent today as part of Discovery Week.

The annual event has the first year students from the Schulich School of Medicine see the reality of working in the health care field.
Kim Sutton, Medical Affairs & Education Specialist with the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, says it’s a fully encompassing program.
“They can shadow in the hospital, we have them at Family Health Teams across Chatham-Kent, the hospice, Community Health Centres,” Sutton says.
Sutton says many of the students are from larger centres, and are pleasantly surprised at all that Chatham-Kent has to offer,
The CKHA has been involved with Discovery Week for more than a decade.
