Divvying Up Gas Tax Revenue

Chatham-Kent is getting a one-time $6.7-million gas tax boost from the federal government.

In a report to council on Monday it’s being recommended that that money go straight into the capital budget for roads projects.

Council will get a chance to see the capital budget for 2020 projects in January just ahead of the municipal budget deliberations.
