A Chatham woman has been slapped with a $1500 fine after her dog attacked a man last summer.
Back on July 20th, the victim was walking down Gray Street when a male bulldog pulled his owner’s wheelchair onto the sidewalk and bit the man on the wrist.
The man suffered a fractured bone in his arm – an injury for which he’s still receiving treatment.
The 59-year-old Chatham woman has been convicted of not exercising reasonable precautions to prevent the dog from attacking a person under the Dog Owners’ Liability Act.
