What started as an argument between a man and a woman has ended with both now facing charges.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to Sheldon Avenue in Chatham about a disturbance on Sunday at around 10:23 p.m.
Upon arrival, authorities learned that a verbal argument between a man and woman escalated when the woman allegedly assaulted the man. The man also allegedly damaged the woman’s phone.
As a result, a 35-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with assault, while a 32-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with mischief.
Both were later released from custody with June court dates.
