Charges have been laid after things turned violent on more than one occasion for a Tilbury couple.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Wednesday at a home on Homestead Drive after a man and woman got into a verbal argument.
Authorities said the woman left the home and called police.
Following an investigation, officers learned that woman had been assaulted twice in the past.
As a result, a 34-year-old Tilbury man was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. He has since been released from custody with a future court date.
