Chatham-Kent police had to arrest a Wallaceburg woman for her own safety Tuesday evening.
Officers arrived at a residence to learn the woman had left the family gathering following a verbal argument.
They tracked her down in a nearby park and took the 21 year old into custody until she could care for herself.
She was charged with public intoxication and released after she slept it off.
