A recent commitment to match donations will help support health care in Chatham-Kent.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHAF) has launched March Matchness, a one-month fundraising campaign that doubles the impact of donations in support of local hospital care.
Throughout the month of March, donations made to two Foundation campaigns will be matched dollar for dollar by longtime healthcare champions Robin and Bob Hockney, up to $50,000.
March Matchness is supporting two of the hospital’s most important ongoing priorities, the Our Hospital, Our Future Wallaceburg redevelopment campaign, and mammography services at CKHA’s Chatham site.
Bob Hockney, Past Chair of the Foundation Board, said the decision to provide matching funds was rooted in a desire to encourage broad community participation.
“Matching gifts are a simple but powerful way to inspire people to give,” said Hockney in a news release. “Robin and I believe deeply in the importance of our local hospital, and we wanted to create an opportunity where every donation, no matter the size, could have an even greater impact. The care provided at our hospital touches so many lives, and we hope this campaign will rally our community in support of these important initiatives throughout the month of March.”
March Matchness runs through March 31, and donations of any amount to either campaign are eligible to be matched. CLICK HERE for more information or to make a donation.
