The local YMCA is kicking off its 2024 fundraising campaign with donations from a pair of organizations.
During the launch of the campaign last week, TekSavvy Solutions Inc. presented a $15,000 cheque to the YMCA of Chatham-Kent, while Waste Connections of Canada presented another $5,000.
The donations will go towards the YMCA’s campaign goal of raising $100,000 in 2024.
In Chatham-Kent, the YMCA offers health, fitness, and aquatic programs, camp programs and services, child care and school-age programs. In 2023, the YMCA of Chatham-Kent provided $168,400 in financial assistance to families, children, adults, and seniors in the community.
