A group of 16 local businesses teamed up this week to contribute several thousand dollars’ worth of non-perishable food and cash.

As well, donations were collected at Friday’s Santa Claus parade in Chatham.

The Chatham Goodfellows will be delivering food and toy packages to families in need next month.

The deadline for applications is December second.
