Chatham-Kent’s animal control provider is reminding local dog owners to purchase their updated tags.
Pet And Wildlife Rescue (PAWR) said dog tags must be purchased before March 31 or pet owners could face a $10 late fee.
The tags can be purchased at the animal shelter in Chatham, at any municipal office, over the phone by calling 311, or online by clicking here.
The cost of a tag is $28 for dogs that are spayed/neutered and $38 for dogs that are not.
All dog owners are required by law to obtain municipal dog licences each year. Anyone who no longer owns a dog or has moved is asked to contact the municipality.
