Downtown Chatham Goes Retro This Weekend!

Join us for the 11th annual Retrofest celebration, May 24 and 25 in the “Classic Car Capitol of Canada,” Chatham, Ontario.  In what is sure to be the biggest and best Retrofest to date, the 2013 event will see more than 1,000 collector cars gather on the streets of Chatham’s historic downtown core. Joining the selection of exceptional automobiles, will be a number of fun activities including the OLG Classic Car Cruise, free movie in Tecumseh Park, live music, hot air balloon rides, a zip line a host of other nostalgic fun for the entire family!

Schedule of Events:

Friday Evening, May 24

Street Party
Starting at 5:00 p.m., Fourth Street will be closed to traffic and taken over by a street party complete with live music!

OLG Classic Car Cruise – Click Here For Map
Starting at the John D. Bradley Convention Center, 565 Richmond Street, at 7:00 p.m., participants will cruise along the Thames River entering downtown Chatham around 7:30 p.m.

Movie in the Park
Join us in Tecumseh Park at dusk for a movie experience the whole family can enjoy!

Saturday, May 25

Kent Historic Auto Club Annual Car Show
Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the corner of King Street and Fifth Street. Participation plaques will be given to the first 500 people to register and all registered vehicles will have their chance to win one of the 50 awards up for grabs! Please note the show is limited to classic cars, 1993 and older.

Entertainment
Throughout the day, Chatham’s downtown is the place to be! In addition to tons of food and vendors, there will be hot air balloon rides, a zip line, and great live entertainment including The Puppet Tamer and Elvis tribute artists. Join us for retro fun for the whole family!
