A Windsor man who was arrested in Chatham-Kent is now facing more than two dozen charges in connection to a string of robberies.

The Ontario Provincial Police said the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team, Tactics and Rescue Unit, Canine Unit, and Aviation Services were all utilized to locate the 40-year-old accused on Tuesday, in the area of Highway 401 and Bloomfield Road. He was arrested without incident.

Authorities allege the man is responsible for multiple robberies and vehicle thefts throughout several communities in Lakeshore.

He is now charged with eight counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000, six counts of robbery with a weapon, four counts of possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose, and one count of flight from a peace officer, among several other theft and weapon charges.

The man was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
