
Chatham-Kent’s hospital has named a new physician to lead its surgical team.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has appointed Dr. Chris Anjema as the Chief of Surgery and Co-Medical Director of the Surgical Program.
Dr. Anjema completed a Doctor of Medicine and residency training at the Schulich School of Medicine and the Ivey Eye Institute of Ophthalmology at the University of Western Ontario, before training in Oculoplastic and Facial Reconstructive Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
He has provided Ophthalmological services in the area since 2004 through his work at CKHA and the Anjema Eye Institute. He has also served as the Head of Ophthalmology at CKHA since 2024.
CKHA offers surgical sub-specialties in urology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology and orthopedics.
