A familiar face will remain at the helm of Chatham-Kent’s Public Health Unit into the new year.
Dr. David Colby resumed his role as Medical Officer of Health on an interim basis following the abrupt departure of Dr. Kangeswaren earlier this fall.
His acting role was extended at this week’s Board of Health meeting as the recruitment process to find a permanent Medical Officer continues.
Back in March, Dr. Colby announced he planned to retire by the end of the year, then stepped aside to use up vacation time. Dr Kangeswaren was named to the MOH post in July but resigned in October.
