Dr. Ranade Leaving Lambton Public Health

Chatham-Kent and Lambton County are now in direct competition as both communities search for a new Medical Officer of Health.

Lambton Public Health announced on Wednesday that Dr. Sudit Ranade is stepping down as of June 30th to take on the Chief Medical Officer of Health position in the Yukon.

He is expected to remain on in an acting capacity to help with the transition.

However, Dr. Ranade has also been serving as acting Medical Officer for Chatham-Kent Public Health since the retirement of Dr. David Colby at the end of April.

Recruitment efforts continue to find Dr. Colby’s permanent replacement.
