Chatham-Kent is looking for public feedback on the draft of its strategic plan for parks and recreation in the municipality.

A public open house will be held on June 19 at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre to present and receive feedback on the draft of 2025 Parks & Recreation Master Plan for Chatham-Kent.

The open house will provide an overview of the plan, its strategic direction, recommendations for priority projects and policies, as well as a costing and implementation strategy. Municipal staff will also be present to answer questions and receive comments.

The master plan provides a framework for the municipality to identify and prioritize the delivery, upgrading, divestment, or new development of parks and recreation infrastructure, services, and programs to meet the needs of residents over the next ten years.

The draft was completed following a year-long consultation and research period.

The open house at the Bradley Centre will take place in Meeting Room 1A from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

The 2025 Parks & Recreation Master Plan will be posted online in its entirety on June 10 on the Let’s Talk Chatham-Kent website.
