The childhood dream has come true for Florence, Ontario’s Jeremy Fritz.
Fritz, a 34-year-old professional wrestler known worldwide as “Showtime” Eric Young, became the TNA World Heavyweight Champion Thursday night on their weekly “Impact” TV show.
Fritz grew up in the small town of Florence where he was involved in wrestling since his childhood. Jeremy began training professionally in 1998 at the age of 18.
A fan favourite in the ring and out, Fritz now lives in Nashville with his wife Sarah and visits his hometown regularly.
Jeremy also hosts The Discovery Channel’s “Off The Hook: Extreme Catches”
Before being signed to TNA Wrestling in 2004, he was highly regarded as Ontario and Canada’s best unsigned professional wrestler.

Fritz can be seen weekly TNA’s “Impact”, airing Thursday nights at 9 pm on Spike TV.
