The Dresden Jr. Kings hammered Blenheim 9-1 last night to take a 2-1 lead in their opening round playoff series.

Brendan Ritchie scored twice and Eric Carter set up 3 goals to pace the attack.

The Jr. Kings scored 9 in a row before Blenheim got on the board late in the third period.

Dresden coach Rob Vanderydt says he is proud the team never gets selfish.

” Everybody is playing the system right, and they move the puck and that’s one thing we like. We try to use 4 lines and wear a team down and we did that tonight”.

Game 4 in the best of 7 series goes Sunday night in Blenheim at 7 pm.
