Dresden is helping celebrate Canada’s birthday by beautifying a downtown park. 
The Municipality is contributing $20,000 to the $40,000 dollar project, the other half of which will be raised by the community.
Councillor Joe Faas says the park certainly needs some work.
“What they’d like to do is change that into a nice oasis type setting,” Faas says. “Maybe a water rock, benches, nice shrubbery, that type of thing.”
Faas says the park’s upgrade will be Dresden’s way of participating in this year’s Canada 150 celebrations.
