Drinking and Drive thru-ing don’t mix.
That’s a lesson a 56-year-old Chatham man learned the hard way Wednesday.
Police say the man was having trouble using his debit card at a drive thru on Richmond St. and appeared to be drunk.
Officers were contacted, the man was arrested and his vehicle was impounded. They say his blood alcohol level was revealed to be over the legal limit.
He’s facing charges of impaired driving and a future court date.
