A Wallaceburg woman is facing an impaired driving charge following a single-vehicle collision on Highway 402.

The Ontario Provincial Police said a vehicle was travelling in the eastbound lanes of the highway on Friday just before 8:30 p.m. when it left the road and entered a ditch at Woodhull Road in London.

Officers responded to the scene and arrested the driver after cannabis was located in the vehicle.

A 46-year-old Wallaceburg woman is now charged with driving while impaired by drugs, and driving with cannabis in open baggage under the Cannabis Control Act. She was later released from custody and will answer the charges in court next month.
