A man found passed out behind the wheel caught the eye of a local resident in Thamesville.

Chatham-Kent Police were called out for a well-being check on a man stopped at the corner of Victoria Street and Jane shortly before 11 o’clock Thursday morning.

Officers suspected the man may be under the influence of an intoxicating substance and found drug paraphernalia containing suspected fentanyl.

The 37-year-old Bothwell man was arrested, taken to police headquarters for tests, and charged with impaired driving by drugs and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
