A careless driving charge has been laid following a collision on Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent that sent one person to hospital.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to the eastbound lanes of the highway near Orford Road just before 7 a.m. on April 2 after a passenger vehicle left the road and entered the ditch.
The driver, a 24-year-old from Windsor, suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Following an investigation, the driver has now been charged with careless driving.
