Driving Off The Road Leads To Impaired Charge

A local woman has been charged after police received a tip about a suspected impaired driver in Tilbury.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were contacted about the driver on Friday at around 7:30 p.m., after the vehicle was seen leaving the road and driving onto private property.

Officers located the vehicle on Queen Street North and arrested the driver. She was taken to police headquarters for additional breath tests.

As a result, a 30-year-old Tilbury woman has been charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. She was later released with a July court date.
